Ode to Cigarettes
This time of year my cigarettes taste exactly as they should. Nutty, Carmelly, with a hint of Grassy. Sure it's a bad habit. But I'm really thankful for my cigarettes this time of year. It doesn't help that they take me to the Arctic Circle every time I go out for one, but they calm my nerves. By the way, I smoke Camel Regular 99. Merry Christmas.
UPDATE 4/17/2015 - I've since quit smoking, I miss it, I also breath healthier since I've quit.

Cold, Tired, and ill
It's no secret, I'm falling apart. None of my computer programs are functioning the way they should. My body is a wreck to be polite. It's colder than absolute zero, and that's prety cold. I can't hold down food. I've got a boil sore on my groin, as if having a heart attack every time I walk wasn't enough. I really take solice when things function the way they should. I'm really pissed that my cribbage games are off the rocker. Both Quick Cribbage and Jack are completely dumb. Maybe if I get some food into my body, then I'll have a better immune system and things will function the way they were meant to. Yes I'm going back to whining and complaining early today, cause I'm sick beyond recognition. My family will claim that they recognise me, but they are lying.

Tired, Sore, and Happy
Ok, so I'm concerned that my 8,9 hours of sleep are being sucked into a black hole somewhere. I'm not particularly groggy which is good, but I wake up feeling the same way as when I'm ready for sleep the night before. There must be some benefit to sleep, like feeling rested.

Brohem Has a House
My brother bought his own house today. I'm looking forward to pot lucks, Super Bowl parties, and spoiling my nieces and nephews with annoying toys. I'm really happy for him and Deana, they will be getting married in July next year. I'm saying a serious prayer that they truly enjoy their house. Of course there's a ton of responsibility that goes with a house, but Cody's got plenty of that. And I'm sure Deana will help out too. I've got all sorts of wacky housewarming gifts in mind when the money becomes available. Like firewood, an advanced toaster, a heater for the garage, food, wine, whatever I would want in my house. Ok, that's enough excitement about my Brother's house. Way to go Cody, you impress me all the time.

I'm in the wrong business
Ok, not really, I love what I do. The thing is its just got to pick up at some point. All the waiting makes me irritable. I'm a personified busybody hitting the pavement in a tailspin. All that does is create anger, not good. The market is far worse than a jigsaw puzzle, it's a million golf balls, released in a rubber room, with a strobe light. Ok, enough ranting for now, please put together your business so that I can focus on mine.

Sale After Long Drought
Today I made my first "Orcish" sale in a while. I'm so pumped right now. I've got a million ideas for sales and only so much time and money to work with. What would I do if I paid down my debt and had a hustling bustling chain of stores???
Christmas Cards
I'm determined to get a bunch of Christmas Cards sent this year. Everyone that I know, that may be a bunch, but a bunch at least. Got a new address book to keep up with everyones' address. After I compile a few addresses I'll start making out cards. Mom bought me some at Michaels that I want to send out. I've got plenty of stamps...the only thing I'm missing is the addresses. I'll copy a few from our house book tonight to my new book, then put together some cards tomorrow.

Applied to Target
Sent in an app to Target yesterday for an internship. This would be a really good job for me. I love retail and I'm fairly well versed at business, economics, and the technical issues that are part of them.

Drinking, Smoking, and Having a Bad Old Time
This ain't a plee that I'm copping. I'm determined to drink, smoke and have a bad old time until, you, my customers spend money on me. I don't want to hear that my product is too new. I don't want to hear that you don't have the money, or that my prices are too high. Look for business going into hibernation mode until the cash starts flowing.

30th Birthday
Yeah, still here we are, why don't you stay. Seriously, I'm happy to have made it to 30 years old. My coworkers made me a card, and gave me balloons and Striped Shortbread. I've already ate too much of it, but it's sooooo good. Otherwise, I've got a lot to take care of, I think I'll dedicate today to listing some of my belongings on Amazon.

Big Boom
I'm just getting warmed up and the "something" blows out back. Scared me for like 10 minutes. My ears popped big time. Then Excel Energy were here in like 15 minutes to fix it. Kinda surreal. Everyone was in the dark for a few minutes. Oh, my car is up and running again. Blog at ya later.
Still Mad, Not Letting it Bother Me
I'm mad...and at the same time it's better than yesterday. Bah-hum-bug. Nobody promised me a regular life, but I promised myself it. So far I haven't come through on that promise to myself. I'm just going to ignore everything until someone puts a C in my palm. I may be waiting for a long time, but my conscience knows that, my mind knows that, and my body knows that. So that's the end of that.
I'm going to spend some hard wrought taxpayer dollars on a big meal at El Toro Mexican restaurant. So if you want to know where your taxpayer dollars are being spent, they are being spent on the Grande Burrito and Coke at El Toro.

Not Letting Someone Do Anything, Is Murdering People While you Robb the Bank
I feel pain all the time, and everything I do is wasted by this wasted civilization. Nothing is appreciated. Even the time I spend with my family is lost to oblivion. This Sucks.

The Best Things in Life are Free
…but you can get them through the birds and the bees"… I need money, that's what I want, it's what I want.
Seriously, I have really bad money habits, I don't have any idea of the value of a dollar. Yet, I want more, just to bet in the mixx…you know buy stock, companies, make trades, rent limos…you get the picture, but ultimately I want money to do more of what I'm already doing… like preparing meals, testing electronics… building websites and completing hobbies… ultimately, that money is just fun money, and I know it. The thing is I want to spend money on quality for others. Gifts and parties and meals and trades and trips and movies and all the expensive things that break up the loving life that is.
I know that if I had everything I wanted I would likely stray from the straight and narrow, but then again there are things I want to do, "academic" you might say where I contribute to Wikipedia and other volunteer organizations. Where I play marathon sessions of Aion the MMORPG just for the heck of it. Where I can invite remote friends of the family over for a fancy meal and music.
That's enough excess for now, but you get the picture, I want to manage better and live better. I'm managing slightly ok now, and really living damn good (now that my cold is going away)… but I want a little Martha Stewart and a little less Mike Tyson.
If you know what I'm saying then comment on this post, give me a life coaching lesson in living the good life. I'm all ears.

Close Call, Baseball and Alexa Rank
2013, the year of close calls. This World Series is astounding, from what I can catch of it. I really love the dynamic between these 2 teams. Still think the Boston Red Sox will clinch it tonight. And that ain't overblown.
On a more personal note, VersaGlobe is reaching for the 100K club. I believe I'll get there, it's just a matter of time. Though, while the traffic is increasing the proper site rank is leveling off. I suppose this is a function of stiffer competition. Thing is I don't want to start pressing hard without having some experience managing to see if my customers like my service. I'm sure they will, I just don't have any proof, as of now. Here's hoping this holiday season will press a few individuals to see value in my service.
Peace, until tomorrow...

The Cold, It's Consuming Me...||>>>> >-lo
How can you blog if you're freezing to death? You might ask. Well, it's like this, there's a combination of factors that lead to my body taking action, and when those factors are available when the weathers turning, you get a tornado of stuff, and 1 frozen, dead, 29 year old.

Going Out of My Comfort Zone
I'm doing 2 things out of my comfort zone. First today I'm dead set on sales. Secondly I'm adding some ideas to what the focus of the blog will be.
Basketball
Bird Calls
Hunting
Electronic Cigarettes
I guess I'm afraid of picking a focus, because I fear that I'll run out of things to write, or write something wrong, but this is an essential step in blogging.

Show Me the Green, Silicone that Is
Ok, I'm really impressed by your invention. I'm sure you went through a million edits, and worked really hard engineering, well whatever you engineered. That said, blueprints are of little interest to me, sure there's a time and a place...and I may delve further into blueprints than I've ever wanted when I find the time and money to enjoy them, but for now, it just ain't in the cards.
That said, if you invent something, hold the patent to sliced bread let's say. Please show me the bread, or the slicer, and not the patent, or blueprint, or money that is. I'm not a patent clerk, nor a trademark lawyer, nor a wonk of any sort. Yes, I am impressed that you invented the pencil, so show me the pencil.

Coming Soon, Picture of A Pug in a Stocking
I'm compelled to take a picture of a pug in a stocking this Christmas. It will happen, and it will be posted here exclusively for Family, Friends, and Neighbors to see.

Narrowed my Subject
I've got my subject down to 4 options.
1) Basic Vegetable Gardening
2) Playoff Baseball Reference
3) Reliable Automobile Models
4) Classic Reference Books
This is a specific blog intended to deeply inform and earn myself money. I'll pick 1 of these soon and start going further into diagramming the blog.

This Blog is Going to have a Goal
I've narrowed my broad interests to 8...here they are...
1)Novels
2)Music
3)Toys
4)Cars
5)Movies
6)Gardening
7)Baseball
8) and Health
So, according to Jeff @ http://goinswriter.com/blog-focus/ this is the first step in getting a Goal...the next step which I'll do now is to make theme sentences out of these broad categories. Then, pick a theme sentence and establish goals...then you get to hear me rant and rave about a very focused topic for a wiggle.

My Dream Meal
First, I eat about 5 of my coworker's brownies, then I go to Subway and buy an orange juice, then I go to el Toro, and buy a cervaza, chips and salsa, then I go to McDonalds' and order 5 McDoubles, a chocolate shake, and a large fry, then I climb into a garbage can, haha, no some gross dude did that (yuk). Then, I drive home and watch TV for about 10 hours, then go to sleep.
Another Business Goal, Break 1M for this Blog
This blog is very close to breaking the 1,000,000 mark. I'm happy that you, the readers, have stayed with me on this crazy journey. I'll continue to blog for the foreseeable future, and I eagerly await your comments. The best blog is an interactive blog. I really love blogging...I hope you love reading my blog.

Being Broke is Seriously Putting a Damper on my Life
Ok, I don't have much money. I don't have enough for food, drink, and cigarettes. That's all I really want now...and I can't have it. I'm like the shoeless shoemaker. Click, click, click, no cigarettes. I've heard of people quitting cold turkey, that's not for me. I need to live an abundant life, and a pack of cigarettes is part of it. So someone buy something from me, preferably on eBay so I can use my eBay cash card. You may not want to hear about the whining of an upright young businessman, but here it is. Feed me. I don't want to become a Little Shop of Horrors plant! Feed me.

1 Cent Closer to Q4 Sales Goal
You might not want to read these posts around Christmas time...cause they will likely come off as very Grinchy. Here's the deal, the traffic is there to reach this sales goal. I'm going to keep busy updating our site with the resources we have. And basically cleaning up passwords, accounts, and that sort of thing...Maybe I'll treat myself to a HTML crammer, or extra breaks, since I am the boss. It will be relatively quiet around here. I hope my small stakes motives don't bore you.

Sales Goal Q4 2013 $100
I've been in this business loong enough to set a reasonable sales goal for Q4 2013. VersaGlobe will sell $100 in gross revenue in Q4 2013. We will still be losing money, but coming closer to achieving profitability. If the governments, the tea parties, and the brick and mortars can make a dime, so can we. Now, this is a bet that me personally, David, is betting on the sustainability of this growth model. It took a lot of typing, sourcing, negotiating, education, thinking, building, side jobs, blood, sweat, and tears to get to this point, but I believe we are on to something.
If we can achieve this goal, I'm certain we'll be expanding, hiring employees, and driving home sales next year.

Don't Care, Still Get Excited at Christmas Time
Ok, so I'm a bit old to be waiting for Santa. I'm a bit poor to be thinking of gifts. I'm a bit slow to be thinking of chestnuts roasting on an open fire. And, I'm a bit urban to be caught in the hustle and bustle...Yet, I'm really excited this Christmas. Parties all over, the skyway downtown will be jam packed. We Minnesotans' have a winning womens' basketball team. More concerts and plays than you can shake a stick at. Pickles and honey-glazed ham. Maybe a polar-plunge or 2. This town and that all around the Twin Cities...it's affecting us at the heart of Brooklyn Park. It's that feeling you don't have to worry. You're sleepy but there's just too much to do. Wreaths, trees, horses, fireplaces, shops, people skipping down the street, and who the heck knows why? Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Dream Car
I suppose it would be a brand new Ford Focus. If I could afford a brand new one. I would get all the bells and whistles (to a certain point)....maybe in white...
something like this...
something like this...
Toast and Coffee
Ok, I'm cold. Ok, I'm broke. Will I make it through today. Very likely. I was encouraged by a few new items on the web. My favorite comics are being updated. The stock market is waaaay up. And my personal interests are climbing the web ladder nicely. That said, I need to make money at what I'm doing. There needs to be a financial progress to all this crazwebines. If everything I read in the papers and online is true, then there is a payoff somewhere, it just needs to be actualized. Maybe a donation button, maybe a brick and mortar store, something, some hard and fast selling point. Maybe I can sell better advertising, maybe I can do my own car repairs...something has to give. I'm very happy with the progress I've been making, but the results are stationary at best. There needs to be something substantial that relates to this internet progress. I'm still unsure if the internet is a real thing. I'm pretty sure it is, but I'm not sure. When I'm making sales, it feels like a very real thing, when I'm not, it doesn't.

Stupid Cold Days
This dark cold temperature at Minnesota is for the birds. It makes my skin, bones, and muscles tingle with pain. What a stupid thing living here. And I'm nearly bankrupt, because I made the stupid decision of getting a credit card. I've worked plenty, and I'm willing to work further, but nobody is hiring...well they will hire, just not me. So, with stupid cold and a debt hole, the question is why haven't my myriad of illnesses consumed me? I think I deserve an IV and pain meds until it consumes me, what do you think?

Morgan Stanley Analyst Shares Insight
The way the stock market is moving up, and the amount of cash on the sidelines, is giving me a really good idea. Do exactly what I've been doing. Slowly, ever so slowly, banking away a little here, a little there. Rinse and repeat.
Buy something or not, I'm content without busy-bodying myself
I'm just going to keep on selling, even when I'm spending twice as much as I make. If I go bankrupt the banker, IRS agent, or cop is going to have a good time getting me in cuffs.

Feeling better this morning, got my cigarettes and coffee. Made it through yesterday. Now I'm going to tidy up my office and get a jump on the day. My sincerest apologies for the cursing yesterday, it was a long day. Thanks for supporting my blog and website.

Bumped my Head
I @#$%@#$^^^@#$@!#@ bumped my head on the @#$%@#$@#$^^!!#$ cabinet. I must be losing my mind. Personally, I can't think of anyway to regain it. My mind is gone, out there, somewhere in the stratosphere, never to return. I can barely see straight. Got double vision. Flu symptoms. And my @$#$^%@#$@#$!!()*^T*&@$ mind is toast. I'm lost, just another cold body in the gutter. Don't wait for me, don't look for me, I'm lost forever...

Feeling a Bit Better
Got a nap, and my family and coworkers and computer...have been cheering me up since. I just really need to make some sales, to keep busy at the very least. I've dropped my prices to move, and I haven't made a single sale in about a month. It's hard to keep up, when there's nothing to keep up on...
Oh, on a side note, there's a ghost in my radio. He messes with the EQ and sings along to the songs making them boring. Is it normal to have a ghost in the radio. I don't think so. It's really annoying, cause I just want to listen to the radio.

Mind, Body, Soul, and Pocketbook Reeling
Why am I positive about the future when my mind, body, soul, and pocketbook are troubling? Why stay honest and forward when everything seems to have a troubling spin? Why attempt to build a life when the tools fall apart, the supplies are wrong, and the help is promising yet unproductive? To be or not to be? That may have been the question before, but today we have no time for it, it's simply too important that we live to ask that question. Men look to their women for support and women look to their mirs. So it's a bunch of men looking at women looking at mirs. And it rains, and it freezes, and it crumbles, and we fight, and we move on. I'm really the least depressed person on Earth, but I'm starting to get down. I'm starting to think what's so bad if we fight, what's so bad if things crumble, what's so bad with the sad roles at disparate ends of the Earth??? How can a happy person have such bad thoughts???

The Day that Business Freeeeeeezed
It started out like any other fall day. It was October 14 2013, a day forgotten in time. The only thing that stood out about the day was my missing car needing repair and cold snap in the air. As the day went on the cold and dark were unrelenting. Yes, another winter was promised to me by the cold Minnesota weather.

Hate to Complain
Roofed good ol' Cody and Dena's roof yesterday. Man, I've really forgotten what good old labor does for the soul. I mean Valley Fair was tough, but real work early in the morning, with heavy tools and shingles is something else. I really wish I could have done more. Spent half the time sitting on my butt and eating. Our lead, my Couzin, was astounding...He kept the pace productive but not feverish. Just the right amount of oomph to keep things in line. Then, when things were packed up and the roof is complete we headed home for cold brew.
After about an hour kicking it and drinking, we headed out, I came to the office to pick up cigarettes. Little did I know my car would start rattling and my leg bleeding profusely. Needless to say, it was a hard day's night. I'm more than happy to help out my little brother, but wow it sucks that I'm sore and my car broke. So, I stayed the night at work, something I've been banned from doing. And, I'm likely to get an earful if my parents show up todo work. I'm just spending today casually. I'm not picking any fights and I'll shoot for Monday.

Time for Cut and Dry Math
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2 find the Vertex...
lets see...
hmmm...
type numbers not words...
ok already get on with it...
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2
2 + 0 = 4x^2 +12x - 2 + 2
2 = 4x^2 + 12x
2 - 12x = 4x^2 + 12x - 12x
hmmm...
I think this is why the quadratic equation was invented...FOIL...oh yeah I gotta continue with that up there...
(2 - 12x)/4 = x^2
hmmm....
factor maybe...
2(2x^2 + 6x - 1) ok...I think that's the first step actually duh...the only number x can be is 0 because the equation is 0, if 0 were y then you would have to solve this way then use the QE, then set y to 0 or something. I'm really not a math major, but this was enough refresher to keep the saw sharp. Nah, let's solve it.
y = 2(2x^2 + 6x - 1)
...then on paper find x...
x = 0.1583123
x = -3.1583122
hmmm, now that we know x we gotta set...hmm...solve for y...ok, I'm using an online graphing calculator for this part...
y = -0.0000012626748
y = -0.0000025893246
these are the solutions to something, just not what I was looking for, oh well TBC on another day... I think the correct way is to pull out the 2 and factor...something like y = 2(2x + 1)(x - 1)...and since it can't be easily factored back to the quadratic formula...I want to find the Vertex...and according to the graphing calculator I'm looking for y = -11...
So that's the solution, punch it into a graphing calculator, and read the graph...hahahahahaha
No, do not use the online Desmos Graphing Calculator, it doesn't know what it's talking about (or I'm entering the function wrong), but I"m fairly certain it doesn't know what it's talking about...
To find the vertex of
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2
simply enter x=0, answer y = -2
The vertex is at -2 duh.
lets see...
hmmm...
type numbers not words...
ok already get on with it...
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2
2 + 0 = 4x^2 +12x - 2 + 2
2 = 4x^2 + 12x
2 - 12x = 4x^2 + 12x - 12x
hmmm...

y = 2(2x^2 + 6x - 1)

x = 0.1583123
x = -3.1583122
hmmm, now that we know x we gotta set...hmm...solve for y...ok, I'm using an online graphing calculator for this part...
y = -0.0000012626748
y = -0.0000025893246
these are the solutions to something, just not what I was looking for, oh well TBC on another day...
To find the vertex of
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2
simply enter x=0, answer y = -2
The vertex is at -2 duh.

These Stairs are Killing Me
Getting older sucks major gross flavored Jelly Belly. I need some down time at a campground, stat. Any campground will do. 1 with bikini clad women and raging bonfires will suit me just fine. Oh, and plenty of (non-alcoholic)cold drinks, and food, and cigarettes, and firewood, and a tent, and a matress, and a sleeping bag, and a Stephen King novel, and well that's all I can think of right now. That would be a very good flavored Jelly Belly.
Another Beautiful Day in the Minnesota Wilds
After a serious cold spell, the weather is really great. The trees are turning and the air is crisp, but not bitter. I'm considering more products to sell on my website, eBay, Amazon, et al. The only way I'm going to compete with larger anchor stores is to offer a better selection. The bane of many a micro-business.
Now, in my case, you might say, this is easy. Just take the items that go every day across bar-code scanners every day. The thing is, there are other factors. What's the margin, how long will it last on the shelves, how much to ship, where can I source it, who's the buyer, why buy from VersaGlobe, who finds my site, what's the exact price point where I make money, what about returns, what about errors in the system, can I really afford to ship overseas, when will sales reflect my bank account, how long can I stay in business? These are all respectable questions for any micro-business owner to ask. And then, how to grow the business on top of that!
I'm happy to see that my advertising campaigns are doing well. Traffic is increasing to my site. I'm keeping myself amused while waiting on sales. It's all too easy to say, "if I had a million dollars" and go comatose until bankruptcy, but that's not what I want. I'm willing to claw my way up the corporate ladder, help myself, my family, and strangers in the process.
Some things I'm taking off the burner until VersaGlobe is more profitable...1) Education, it's a glorious tool to make money and make life more enjoyable, it's just not in the cards right now. 2) Spending on frivolous things. Now, I need to eat and keep myself presentable and profitable, but not much more. Books, Dvds, New Clothes, Art, Gambling, Drinking, Tobacco, anything that seems frivolous is going to be slashed and the money will go straight to VersaGlobe's bottom line. 3) Feeling sorry for myself. Small business is not a gift, it's a slow process of building something that will last. 4) Silly marketing tactics. Sometimes it's tough to distinguish between a genuine sales strategy and just winging it, so I'm spending my time and money on the things that will get the best return on investment. This also means getting off my high horse and selling at profitable market rates. 5) Looking up to big business. Big business is the enemy, they can afford to sell my products at better margins than me, so be it. I'll continue to build what's right for me, and my market, to secure what's really important, small business.
And that's all for now, with a little focus and persistence, we will get this thing going and I will become a very wealthy man, not to mention my team, and a million happy customers along the way.

Sales are Down, Yet Pundits Remain Optimistic
Ok, so I'm the pundit. My sales are way down, but I remain very optimistic about this holiday season. I believe it will be the best ever, for people all over the world. By the way, it's really warmed up today...I'm happy. Plus, my Dad gave me a pair of suspenders that just feel right. I thank him for his well-timed kindness. My goal, brain pending, is to get a slew of media combed out of my personal collection and up for sale on Amazon.com. We don't need the government to support the private sector. Sure, they are helpful, but the private sector has been grinding out a profit before there were governments...and we have the healthiest private sector, more than I've ever imagined. I'm slashing prices, but not so much that I don't have inventory next year. It's sad that everything is geared towards the upper class these days. Sure, the tiny guy can get help, but he'll have to wade through a sea of corporate tape to do it. Believe me, I'm knee high in the stuff.
All's well. I'm truly happy to have this work, and a very healthy mind, body, and soul, considering my limitations. I could make nary a sale, nary a song, and nary a present this Christmas. I will still have my family, I will still have ends meet, I will still have bountiful food. Thank you, The Readers, for waiting on the next post, grinding out tough jobs, and quitting suckey ones. I'm well positioned to get you some really great deals, fresh content, and some down time where we might get to know one another.
Oh, if I told you about my girlfriend, yeah she's hot, and very nice, but it just didn't work out, so I'm up for dancing again, Ladies.

Kicked the Cold
Well, enough clothes and heat will take care of that...
This morning while smoking my Camel 99, I decided to take it all in. That big oak tree that dutifully watches over the drive, and while I practice basketball. The air is surprisingly crisp for such a quiet overcast day, a mainstay of Minnesota. The garden is on its last leg, but there are a few sweet gems to be picked and eaten immediately, well with a little polish from the shirt. BTW, I'm wearing my cookie monster pajamas, a t-shirt, and a red sweater over. The traffic seems distant, because the day would have it that way. The basketball hoop looks tired, yet still very strong. There's rust, a cut net, and makeshift backboard. And still inviting after all this time. Another drag from the cigarette. I'll have to find something to do soon, but it's Sunday, and it will probably be chores around here. Nothing extravagant on the internet, no spying on the Chinese and Ruskies, no beautiful women, just dusting and washing, and tidying, and organizing, and rearranging the house. Open a couple doors, check the locks and lights, and after Mom was done with computer, I'm on here writing. Maybe I can put my chores off for another hour, maybe 2 but they're coming...there's a bunch to do today.
Thanks to my readers, I've noticed the bumps and the traffic...It really excites me when you read every post. Feel free to leave your insights as comments too.

Ahhhgg the Atmosphere is Crushing Me
♥ Happy Birthday Little Brother Cody ♥
Ok, the atmosphere isn't really crushing me, but my body sure feels like it. Sure, I was an athlete, sure, I've used plenty of substances, sure, my diet is strictly see food, sure, I've had times where my hygiene went to hell, but my body isn't as kaput as a million tonnes of atmosphere...
The painkillers I take give me a solid hour, hardly worth it. I'm better off going for a 10 mile hike through the woods. Oh yeah, can't do that because my legs have blisters. Enough complaining...No NOT enough complaining, this absolutely stinks.
Maybe I'll get some I don't need anybody's time or money, I've got great boots, boots. lol, j/k.
On a more serious note. I've found some great resources for board games and art. If you are interested in the tonnes of chess variants that are possible with modified boards and pieces you can buy some neat novelty chess pieces at http://www.seirawanchess.com/ and 10x10 boards at http://www.mastersgames.com/ or http://www.modern.chess.variants.tripod.com/index.html. It's way better than using some random trinket that doesn't match your pieces, IMHO. Oh and for the art, http://www.artcyclopedia.com/...This page has a lot of broken links but it does point you in the right direction.
Also, if you've looked at my wares before...many of the prices are dropping out of the stratosphere and into the normal realm. Nobody was buying them at extremely inflated prices, go figure.
I'll try digging out those chess sets and making a couple calls on the new house phone at home.
And as always buy from http://www.versaglobe.com

Crap Lower Quality Higher Costs
Is it just me or is the market getting crappy??! I feel like the market is more and more volitile, my Bipolar Schizophrenia is getting worse in a number of ways, and my content is beginning to degrade at the same time.
I never expected life to be a cake walk, but I did expect some regularity and quality.
Now the quality is there, it just is lacking the resonance that it once had. There are still many gems and roughs just waiting to be polished...but that's all they are doing, waiting.
Someone with some wisdom, please, PLEASE, breath some order into this chaos that I call home.

Since MMORPG Aion
It may sound funny, but a large milestone in my life was when I found the MMORPG Aion. It's a little thing, a really well built game. But it's a relief to find such a marvelous detailed game like that. It's what I look forward to while I'm working on sales. I've only killed a handful of monsters in the game and haven't done any PvP yet, but I'm thrilled with what I have played.
PS. My website http://www.versaglobe.com has some big changes, and I'm thinking it will only get better and more focused as time goes by.

Feeling Prety Good this Morning
Had a good nights sleep last night, and what a difference does that make. I'm able to stretch out breath, and drink my coffee while taking in the quiet. Actually give my thoughts the attention they deserve. It's an extremely pleasant feeling. I'm also excited about getting my Social Security Disability money for October. Finally I'm in a position to take a chunk of debt off my shoulders and pay back some of the kind people that lent me money. Also, with not smoking I'm saving over $100 a month and as I pay down my debt the interest will compound downward, a pleasant change. That said, I've got a bunch of recurring bills I need to take care of, some new, like the newspaper, Magic Jack, and car payment, some old like interest, medicine, and food. The ultimate goal is to get out of debt, pay my recurring bills on time, and set aside a small amount each month for big purchases (or repairs uggh).
Now is the time to make a fair assessment of my Internet goals. Programming in all it's forms is a severely under-appreciated profession. It's a hard way to make an easy buck. That said, I don't want to abandon it altogether, it's my biggest form of anything remotely resembling real work. But, I'll have to accept that it's only a part of my work plan!!! First and foremost I need to start accepting day labor. If I'm offered a few bucks to do this or that, I must challenge myself to take the work even if it seems like a losing proposition, if it's remotely profitable, I should take the work. Second, I need a structured way of looking at my computer work, you're not surfing the event horizon of a black hole David, you're laying down keystrokes, language, and money to accomplish a goal, remember that. Maybe the stupid banker Rich was right, get a job.
Finally, I need to manage better, body mind, and soul. That means making hygiene a top priority, even when I don't want to. It means taking gains and losses in stride instead of living with each one. It means making more accurate assessments and keeping better records. And most of all, truly being thankful for those teachers, mentors, family, and strangers that keep me going when things seem dim.

In the Interest of Focus
I'm considering making this blog dedicated to sport and game. Everything from major league sports, to the game of cribbage me and Grandma played today. (she won by 22 points) This focus might bring more visitors to the blog, yet then I couldn't blog on my countless other interests. We'll see if I can keep a focus on gaming...

Battle with Tiredness
I'm so terribly tired and irritated lately, it's hard to think. I've been taking my medicine in the morning for a few reasons but I haven't gotten used to it yet. In the long run it will be a big positive, but right now it's kicking my butt.
I'm going to drop the prices on my website, but I won't until I'm back at Robbinsdale, MN so that I can take an inventory of what I've got.
In the meanwhile, click the ads on my sites, and keep coming back for updates to this blog and http://www.versaglobe.com

Officially Challenging Warren Buffet to a $10K Heads Up Basketball Match
Ok, if I can't make money through regular routes, then I'm calling out the billionaires. Me and Warren Buffet, 21 points, $10,000 dollars to the winner. I'm thinking he'll decline, give his money to his kids and his special friend Bill Gates, and have a whole lot of people scrutinizing his every move. I'm not mad, just practical. I'm willing to bet he can't play. I'm willing to bet he's got the money. I'm willing to bet that the majority of his money was a paper mistake.
Feel free to contact me Buffet if you're up for a match. You get ball first.

Who Will be the First Buyer on VersaGlobe???
♥♥♥ http://www.versaglobe.com ♥♥♥
Still, looking for a first buyer on VersaGlobe. Our progress is outstanding and I can't wait for a few sales to validate the site. I'm already thinking of all the wholesome staples, foreign oddities, and grand sales we'll have.
That said, I'm still chewing on all the wholesale contacts I'll have to make. If you have a quality product, that sells itself, contact me and give me wholesale pricing.
I've already spent a million $$$ of my forward profits, so go ahead and buy 2 :)

So Very Very Hungry
I'm taking my anti-sphycotic med in the morning, so that I'm not starving at bedtime. It really seems to be working. But, I'm very hungry at about lunch time, which is fine. When I'm at Minnesota I'll just eat bigger lunches. Grandma, Grandpa, and I are eating hamburgers now....they're cooking....I'll devour mine with ketchup and a bun.

Back to Construction
Just as soon as I think the manual labor is done, it creeps up again. I'm helping Rich, a neighbor of my Grandparents, fix up his new house. It ain't too bad, there's air conditioning inside, pays well, and I'm helping one of my Grandparents friends. It's actually amazing how quickly the brain, and muscles for that matter, recall construction work, it's as if the more you do, the more muscle memory you have for the trade.
Also, I have to refine my website, I'm getting an astounding amount of traffic, and I want more...My biggest problem I'm facing is sourcing quality products at wholesale prices. Most of the things we buy at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, The Dollar Store, Gas Stations, and Convenience Stores are so close to the actual COGS that finding cheap product is challenging. One might imagine that you can find those prices on the Internet, yet it's more challenging than it sounds. And manufacturing quality products is even more expensive. So, where does that leave my little shop? Struggling, I guess.
PS...Just pressed a button that let me access the code on this page, a very valuable idea, wonder what I pressed to get it?!

Career in Sales or Movies
It just so happens that I'm making a tiny bit of money in Sales, so what do I do? Find an expensive hobby of course. I'm looking at this XL-H1 camera that I could make stars, (and movies), with. It would likely end up taping the family dogs, pickup games at the park, and the inside of my office imploding on myself. That said, it's likely a natural progression in my career...doesn't every poor musician salesman want to be a movie star, or make movies? IDK...I want to make something that ends up in everyone's collection. Probably will stick to knitted hats, jewelry, and small electronic devices. That said, cameras and camcorders, are very high on my priorities, that said, don't need to spend $5,000 on a camcorder that I don't intend to use. It would just be an indulgence, and I may get it, and I may not. Either way I'll be content, I'm just not sure I'm making this goal out of pure intentions. Besides, I've got a perfectly good video camera, where I can still source film, and it probably looks great transferred to a PC. It may even have "pro" aspect ratios, I haven't looked. How do you make budget movies anyway? Buy a screenplay, props, hire actors, film, editing, green screen, only to find that my movie is a box office bust. IDK...want a cigarette to forget about goals.

200th Post
Wow, I've ranted and raved a lot to get to 200 posts. Still vacationing in Arizona, though I'm beginning to worry that I'll be broke when I return home. It's not really being broke that bothers me, it's not having cash in my wallet and account. It's nice to have a little cash on hand to burn, or gift, or invest. Either way I'll be happy, and that's what counts. I hope Sheila Galley doesn't read this, she thinks I'm a slacker. And I am a bit of a slacker, and I like it this way. No-one wants to be at the whims of another, especially with all the turmoil in the government, and foreign governments, and infighting within companies, market, and some families. I answer to doctors, authorities, banks, and mostly my wonderful family. So, if you think I'm slacking talk to my superiors and they will let you know exactly what I've done and where I'm going. It ain't a secret.

Going for Broke
OK, so I love shopping. But, I really need to pay down my debt. It's been a burden for too long and now I want to be out of debt. I spend way too much time thinking about what I owe and not enough time thinking about work and recreation. I think I should be able to pay it down with my Social Security checks, it will just take time...yeah, I need more of that too. Well, Maybe if I quit charging alltogether and only use my debit card I'll get out of debt. Yes, after I get my next Social Security check I will cut up my credit card and go to a strictly cash basis.
God, I hope that works.
God, I hope that works.

Looking for Miss Right
I'm not really lonely, but I would like a feminine touch in my life. Life with a woman isn't great, but it's better than life without her. Thing is, I don't drink, and I don't want to deal with kids, so most single ladies drink, and single mothers' want a role model...so I'm stuck. I think I'm going to sign up for a couple dating sites, at least then I can text flirt...I'll tell the single ladies I'm George Clooney or something j/k...I've been single for too long, I find myself having conversations with myself, and using skewed logic to make decisions...plus I genuinely want a woman's perspective, I know the women of my family make me happy and give me a fresh perspective...so I want a woman to call my own. I'm afraid that I'll end up with a psychopath, guess that's a chance I'll have to take.

Drinking a Beer at the Exotic Paradise that is My Grandparents House
I've narrowed my Amazon wish list to 150 items, I'll have it at 100 by the end of the night. I'm really wondering what kind of career I should pursue when I get back to MN. I've got a little talent and skill at a bunch of things, but I don't know what I want to do as a profession. It would be nice if there were like a 1000000 question quiz I could take that would place me square in a profession. I would rather be wondering what it's like without my profession than wondering what the heck I'm trying to accomplish.
I think I would like something with a lot of crunch. Like film, or construction, or something like that where there is always a bunch to do. I really enjoy working on the computer too, and doing what I'm doing, so maybe I'll continue pursuing that. I just wish I had a better idea of how everyone else uses the computer and the internet, so that I would be better equipped to sell to the Internet crowd.
Every time I ask "what does the public think of shopping on the Internet?" I draw a blank and think there is some kind of stigma that comes with computers, and there is...There's a bunch of raunchy stuff on here, and a bunch of dead ends, and a bunch of headaches...but then again; how is that different from any other career??? I keep telling myself that this is some sort of matrix that I'm a slave to, and that's partially correct, but it's what I know, it's what I do, it's a very big part of my life...I barely feel at home without a computer in front of me, and I wonder is that a good or a bad thing, I wonder if there's some sort of magical spell that might make me at home as a rancher or an architect, or a baseball player.

196 Bad Luck Post
Didn't want to leave my post count, so consider this a dummy post. just getting away from 196 posts.
Crappy, Broke, and Still Smiling
Hello World...I'm searching for forever...Things are going well, but I didn't get the loan from Wells Fargo to pay off my credit card. Maybe I'm overreacting but it seems really usury the way they will charge 21% but won't give me a loan. Don't mind being in debt, don't mind paying it off, it just seems unfair to charge that much interest...That said, my numbers are looking pretty good with a high for July 2013 in number of visitors. I'm feeling really good, which will never be bought. All I want to do is cuddle with my family...but, I'm stinky and my family doesn't want to cuddle. I'm getting by with less which is a real accomplishment for me, when everything looks so purchaseable...It's nice getting rid of some of my obsessive behaviors and extra things that I never look at. I don't want to go completely minimalist, but a bit of focus on the basics seems like a good idea. I really hope Grandma and Grandpa aren't serious super serious about their ultra-health kick, cause that doesn't sound very filling. Maybe I'll bring a suitcase of junk food. Nah, but when I'm done writing this I'm going hunting for some grub. Won a game of solitaire, Scorpion FreeCell style. I'm really healthy all things considered, and I've got a penchant for vacation coming up, but I would like to have a little more tidy belongings...so, I'm dedicating from now until the 4th to tidying up and making sure everything is in its place.

Tom Cruise is an Awesome Actor
Besides all the strange things he does offstage, he's really a dramatic actor, that has some really great hits. He has so many hits I can't list them all, cocktail, days of thunder, MI 12&3, Top Gun, Minority Report, and so on... He's getting older though, maybe he will take Shawn Connery's place as an older badass. I'm really jone'sing for a TC flick.

So the Russians are Reading my Blog, Here's American Business Russians :)
I was looking through my stats for my blog and I've made 4 cents this month in advertising revenue. I think I'll put it in a Certificate of Deposit j/k. It is interesting that the Russians are reading though, I would have thought they had communist propaganda to pour over, not little old mine blog. That said I'm happy to be blogging my life, it's a peaceful outlet for some random ideas.
I recently bought the Encore Hoyle 2013 line of card, board, and gambling games...and I'm happy with them. They are interesting and fun if not as cut throat as I might like. I enjoy playing the "no limit" forms of popular board games just to increase the complexity and length of games. This may seem a bit immature, but I really like the unexpected results that come from complex gaming.
I can't wait for the PS4 to come out. I'm going to dig out the old PS1 games and buy (or ask Santa) for a bunch more. Plus it has a built in Blue Ray for those future movies TBA that may only be released on the new technology. I'm not really afraid of Dvds going out of style completely because stores like Wal-Mart need some actual thing to stock their shelves with.
Well, I'm finally boiling down my sales ideas into a marketable product for my website. I'll begin by having 5 or 10 products at a competitive margin, considering I intend to have global shipping. This way everyone on Earth pays the same price for the same product. And I don't have the headache of a million shipping options.
Here's my top 10 ideas for product...
1) Micro-SD cards--They are easy to ship and an incredible value for storing information.
2) Bicycle Playing Cards--Sold by the case of 12, these are the standard for card clubs.
3) Disposable Cameras--A great way to take pics when you don't want sand in your Nikon F6.
4) Candy--Again sold by the case, a way of sugaring up when you've got a project to do with the other products.
5) Watches--I'm thinking Timex for the wary businessman that wants something reliable, but inexpensive.
6) Coffee Pots--These things are always breaking.
7) Harmonicas--Likely the expensive Hohner Special 20s in the key of C.
8) Cell Phone Cases--I would like to sell those special "Otter Cases" that make cell phones tough.
9) Dvds--Something to watch.
10) Haven't decided on the 10th maybe a sports ball, maybe another food item, maybe cigarettes...We'll have to see here.
Plus, anything that has a high chance of resale that I can get on liquidation at the right price.

Money, Money, Money...
Now that I'm not working at ValleyFair I've got to find something else to do. Sitting behind a cash register would seem pretty slow compared to that, but it may be just what I have to do. Maybe slinging coffee at Caribou again. Maybe selling online. My skills are a bit scattered, so I will have to do a myriad of things to make my money, but that's not inherently bad. It just requires better scheduling. Between the Internet, advertising, odd jobs, retail, and crafts I should be able to make a decent living. Putting it all together is something of a logistics nightmare. But here goes...
I will will attempt to net $20 per month from crafting. I will attempt to net $15 per month through passive advertising. I will attempt to net $100 per month through odd jobs. I will attempt to net $50 per month through sales.
This would total $185 per month and would make a large contribution towards my financial and emotional health.

Is Professional Sports Hurting Pickup Games at the Park
I've got to believe that when our athletes make millions of dollars it is somehow decreasing the number and quality of pickup games at local parks. This flux in professionalism is making our athletes sterile to real world concerns. For every A-rod making many millions to compete at the highest level there is a kid at the park that wants to go pro and doesn't think he can scale as high as A-rod. Gone are the days where young people actually wanted to become athletes. Now they are farmed as one might farm a garden or a trade.
When was the last time the TV said college attended, streetball??? When was the last time an MJ or Bird or Magic came up through the ranks? Sure our players look like those of yesterday, but do they have the same heart? I doubt it.

Quick Cribbage Wins
The plan was to play to 100 but I lost count when QC got to 50 and I was still at 7. Chalk 1 up for the computer. I may have to get a book on How to Play Cribbage. I'll try again soon, but not today...I'm desperately wanting to get some cash flow now that I've lost my job at Valley Fair. Putting some things up for sale is a good start, but I just don't have anything where the margin will cover the shipping cost. It sucks being in a financial hole!!!

Challenge of the Week
Last night I lie awake in bed...I've decided to have a race against the computer cribbage game quick cribbage to 100 points, tracking the difference at the end of each game and adding the scores. I'll post an update tomorrow when the tournament is done.
Along the same lines, I hope to enter more gaming tournaments, chess, scrabble, poker, maybe bridge.

How to Play Catchup When You're Light Years Behind
Ok, I'm not depressed, in fact I'm quite happy. But my success, particularly in business is mind numbingly slow. Why don't I make some juice on my eBay sales?! I'm not in Friggdippin school any longer. I should be profitable. Anyways, I'm too mad to think, go to www.versaglobe.com.

Back to Work on Depakote
The doctor prescribed Depakote and I've taken 2 doses so far. It seems to be helping a little, but it will probably be a couple more days before it's fully kicked in. It's nice coming down from my Manic episode, now I can breath and take time to smell the roses.
I'm really looking forward to getting my credit card payed off, then reducing my credit limit to $1,000, and buying a few nice things, then saving for a house.
I spent a bunch of money during this manic episode and went over my credit limit something I had feared for years. So, I'll be getting a bunch of exciting things UPS this coming week.
I'm really determined to get back to work and do my job well. I'm really thankful for how the supervisors and managers and security and people from different departments all pitch in to make work pleasant. Very different than the lonely rat race I've grown accustomed to. My biggest issue with working is that my feet get very sore and I can't really shake it. They have grown calluses and my stamina has improved, and I got Wednesday off. I'm hoping they will hold up under my schedule.
One goal that I'm making myself take on is to establish a steady plan for practice sessions. I'll start with something like 15 or 20 minutes of practice. I'll start with my Gm pentatonic scale on the keyboard. then Gm pentatonic scale on guitar, then Curtis Lowe and The Gambler, and finish with some casual strumming. Now that I've got work, I've got to fit in my practice.

Quiet No Longer
2 things!
1) I don't care what it is about getting media right that is so hard. There are things that should be censored and things that shouldn't. Things that should play in their entirety and things that should be retired to an old basement. Make your damn decisions and get it right!
2) There should be Dvds for sale chronicling every major sporting final series in their entirety. Good job for baseball, I can buy the world series. Do the same for basketball, football, hockey, golf, tennis, soccer, and every other major damn sporting event. You will make money, these are in demand, and it helps fans get what they want.
Rant over...now get to it.

Using Computer Skills in the Real World
I'm looking for any and all ways to apply my Computer Science degree and skills to the real world. I'm desperately overqualified, yet I love my job as a Ride Operator at ValleyFair. I've come to accept that computers and technology will always be a big part of my life. But I want real world skills too.
So, I'm looking for any way that I might transfer my online presence into a natural world skill. One outlet that I've found is music. Playing and listening to music makes me feel as though I'm making use of my computer skills. Don't ask me why, it just does. Shopping does too. But I would like some skill that allows me to mold, build, and create something that is useful in the natural world. Like say knitting.
I've knitted a handful of hats and that is very rewarding, but it's not quite right. I want a project made of steel, wood, or plastic. Something that is more relatable. Something that doesn't cost too much that might help another person. Some sort of craft, a niche where I would be well versed. Like knitting, building computers, drawing, crafting of some sort. It doesn't need to be spectacular just functional. Like, pool cues, or custom remote controls, or a specific hand tool, or a wooden box, or pottery, or wood carving, or lighter sleeves, or hand carved YoYos, or chainmail, or book covers, or shadow boxes, or framed puzzles...something along those lines.
I'm really looking for a project that is in demand, if you have any ideas for a hobby that might last the rest of my life, please comment.
I'll continue doing the things I've been doing but building custom cars just ain't an option right now. I need something that I can turn quickly, so I can move on to the next project. I'm not really envious of custom jobs, I'm just looking for a maintainable hobby where I build something.

Mostly Over Cold
I had a cold last week that just wouldn't go away. Now, I'm finally recovered and very thankful for my health. ValleyFair is working out just fine. I really enjoy my job there. Everyone is so pleasant. Now I'm working at getting my belongings organized and my website updated.

So Many Vacations, So Much To Do
I've got a trip to Turtle Lake to play $1/$2 No Limit Holdem planned I hope to turn a profit, this will be in about 2 Months. I'm going camping preferably in the next couple weeks if the weather cooperates. And after I'm done working at ValleyFair I want to drive to Arizona and visit my Grandparents. All this in 2013 while paying down my debt, working, and keeping up with my practice.

New Car
I bought a new Ford Focus and so far I'm very happy with it. The gas mileage is insane, I'm planning all sorts of trips with it. Work for 1. Turtle Lake Casino and some Texas Holdem. I would like to visit my suppliers in Ohio. Definitely a trip to Arizona to visit the Grandparents. Maybe some trips to Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and Duluth. I'll take it camping in Maple Grove, not much of a trip but it will be with me the whole weekend. Maybe see New York. Could drive into Mexico after the Grandparent trip, and get a little loco. I'm just so excited to have it. Maybe see the badlands in South Dakota.
Enough about the new car. I'm trying to go through my belongings and weed out some of the unnecessary things so that I have less to think about while working at ValleyFair. I have some fairly valuable things, but finding the right buyer is another story. I think I'll just list the big ticket items on eBay and sell the rest to HPB though they pay very cheap sums. Maybe I'll list them on Amazon again, though that is complicated and takes attention. Maybe I'll just box up the extras and look at them in a couple years. That seems reasonable. Well, I better get started, I've got a bunch of tidying to do and only the rest of today, tomorrow, and part of Friday to go.

Open Source or Open a Can of Worms
There are tons of documents that while not necessarily public or private domain, that I would like to link to or reproduce on my site. Where I can I'll just draw up similar documents of my own. But this raises the question...Are we in an age of open source or open jail cells? I know the correct answer is, it depends on the document. So, government documents can likely be reprinted, unless they want to maintain jurisdiction. Open Source is able to be reprinted, it says so in the liscense. What about advertisements? If there is a funny advertisement, I would assume it's fair game to be posted on facebook, because the marketing gurus want to plaster it as many places as possible. What about 0 cost eBooks, the distributor probably wants to retain the rights, but it's 0 cost right.
It sure would be nice to have a short, 1 sentence, rule of thumb, for digital rights management that the weekend warrior and the bigwig can appreciate.

MOT Duncan
Well, I finally completed a Man on the Trapeze with my green Duncan. I'm not sure if it's the one I got in Arizona or Minnesota. It requires a careful throw, not necessarily a strong throw. It's a challenge because it doesn't have a ball bearing. I'm afraid more advanced tricks like Double or Nothing are extremely challenging on it. I don't read too much into my YoYo except that it's good exercise and fun.

Layup from the Free Throw
The ball is laid up from the free throw line and smashed into the rim, rebounding through the net, score. The Suns celebrate, they have a 2 point lead. The ref gives a Timberwolf the ball and he brings it in. Then a far pass up the left lane. The ball is dribbled back and forth in front of the 3. Back and forth the ball goes as the shot clock unwinds. Back and up, with a fade away, clank. The terrible metallic sound of a far miss. The Suns regain control jumping and grabbing. Slow the madness. Two Suns stay back, the press is half court, giving them a few seconds to recoup. A lob to the paint, a spin, a spin, breakaway jumper and rolls Out of the rim. Again the Timberwolves taking advantage in a shift of momentum. And a quick pass, one on one. Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Up, with a windmill of movement. Tied.
Next quarter, jump ball. Sun's recover with a flurry that came from their coach. Yet stopped by an equalled flurry of defense. Pass around the 3, in and out, pass around the 3. A Sun gets a pick, gets it in the paint, and gets it up. The score is 29 points, 31 points, Suns. The starter comes back off the bench. Timberwolves can't convert. A feeble lob outside the paint missing wide right. Suns again marching down the hardwood. Tall black and white men towering behemoths of muscle. The Suns are keeping their momentum going and the quarter is no longer fresh as the ball is rejected by a timber wolf in the paint. Set in and setup by the Suns another 2 points. The Timberwolves need something as the guard throws up three fingers, definitely a pick and roll. But wait, the ball goes left, and back, and forth, up for 3 points. There was no grabbing of the rim, the ball was pushed, it was nothing but net.
The Suns lead by 1 again pressing to regain the momentum. 2 back, 3 forward. Spending the shot clock on positioning. Then a lob to the power forward. 1 dribble, press, 2 dribbles, press, up, a pass to the paint, and a 180 dunk behind the back. A fist pump by the dunker and back to defense. The Timberwolves are growing tired of the Suns lead. The guard makes a fast break only to be grabbed by a Suns defenseman, personal foul. Ball comes in from half court, again pressing. Up for 2 and the bump. A Wolf comes to the line. The ref bounces him the ball. He bends real low for some practice dribbles, his teammates intent on the rebound. He lifts by straightening his legs as his arms arc with strength twisting the ball toward the rim. Swoosh. His right hand still holding the rim as the Suns draw an offense. The Suns lead by one.

The Wandering Faery
Here there is a small, fine, and detailed farmhouse. An equally fine faery lives here. Most days she would be tending the garden. She would stretch her wings in the sunlight as she counted her tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce. And so the seasons pass and the faery grows very happy with her place, and her woodland friends, and her garden.
After the harvest moon the faery begins to pick her fruits and vegetables in preparation for winter. The air has begun to turn cold. The leaves are just beginning to fall. The faery is happy for the harvest and sorry to see summer leave. She is in hoping for the long days by the fire, with tea, with fruit pie. For she is very happy with this small, fine, and detailed farmhouse. One last thing to prepare for winter and snow, she must repair a hole in the window frame by placing a wooden plank over it. The faery will build a new window this winter for next summer.
Just as the faeries breath turned from rose to steam, a falling star, lead the path for the faery. It had been many years since the faery last ventured from her comfy home. She packed a loaf of bread, some dried spices, and a canteen. This is going to be an exciting journey for her. She is setting for the direction of the falling star.
She ventures and ventures along her usual roads towards the star. She ventures for 7 days and 7 nights towards the star and the weather is particularly pleasant. The faery knows what she is to do when she reaches the end of the road. She is to leave the road and make for the fallen star. She is at the farthest point from her house, on the road, looking into the misty wood. She sets into the woods.
Naturally, faeries are very good at making their way through the woods. The faery knows to direct herself in the direction of the flowers growing in patches of sunlight. She knows to gather provisions as she imagines what the falling star could be shooting towards. The faery is having a trumpeting time in the woods away from her roads. Her woodland friends have made a point of meeting her after she left her roads to welcome her to the wilds, and to greet her company, and to see her as far as they might before she continues on. The birds sing, the beasts chase each other, and the trees play like an anthem of violins.
Time went on. The faery traveled many miles from her house. And then many miles more. The trip is going swiftly for her. Some of her friendly birds have flown back to their nests near her house. They won't be joining her again on her journey. The beasts too have grown fewer in number. The trees have grown tired of making music and rest on their burly roots. Where is she to find the fallen star?
Time went on. The faery is traveling very far from her house. The sun has grown burnt orange, beasts gone home, and the woods is very strange. The faery has ate the last of her bread and must forage her woods for food, still plentiful. She is very much hoping to find the fallen star soon. This is taking much longer than she had planned.
A break in the trees brought refreshing wind to the faeries nostrils. Colder than before, yet refreshing. She finds water, berries, leafy veggies, beans, spices, and roots for a stew before sleep. She has a dream tonight with many questions. "Where did the fallen star land," "Where is the fallen star from," "What is the fallen star made from?" Now the faery needs her rest if she is to look into the fallen star.
Today the faery has come to a chasm. A cliff to be proper. There is a mighty gust coming up from within the depths of the cliff. To cross here is surely perilous the faery thinks. To venture further from the house, to tempt the fates, and surely fall. "I must turn back" the faery said aloud. But the brave faery did not turn back. She spreads her wings and flies to the other edge of the cliff. Not without being blown around by the wonderful gusts of wind coming from the chasm.
This is much more than the faery had planned. The faery had not planned for a gusty chasm. The faery had not planned to travel this far. Yet she continued on for she very much wanted to see the great fallen star.
That was a week ago and the fairy is still traveling in the direction of the fallen star. She has come upon a giant cat. The cat is looking at her wings and growling in a hungry way. The faery will not allow the cat to eat her. The cat will not allow the faery farther. With all her courage she belted a faery hymm for aid to come quickly. It was very fast and the faery was met by 2 strong bears that wished to help the faery. The bears spoke, "the cat is blocking the faeries path, we must allow the faery safe travel." And seeing the 2 bears the giant cat was frightened and fled.
The faery thanks the bears for coming to her call and invites them to her house far in the direction away from the fallen star. She asks the bears if they know of the falling star. "We will bring her to the place of the earth rumble," they said.
The place of the earth rumble is a field where the star landed. The faery looked at the fallen star with amazement. It is striking the faery believes. She now wishes to carry the star back to her house. Her new friends, the bears, have agreed to help her carry the large star back to her house. The bears will carry it as far as the chasm. She wishes them well and begins thinking of how she might cross the cliff with her newfound star. The only way she will cross the cliff is by flying.
The faery carries the star across the chasm while the gusts are low. She grunts and groans as she carries the star to her farmhouse. And she breaths a sigh of relief as she places the star at the head of her garden. Winter is fast approaching and the star will be burried with snow. So, she brings her star into the house.
The faery lived long after she claimed the star. She has told many of her woodland friends the story.
She lived happily ever after.
