2013, the year of close calls. This World Series is astounding, from what I can catch of it. I really love the dynamic between these 2 teams. Still think the Boston Red Sox will clinch it tonight. And that ain't overblown.
On a more personal note, VersaGlobe is reaching for the 100K club. I believe I'll get there, it's just a matter of time. Though, while the traffic is increasing the proper site rank is leveling off. I suppose this is a function of stiffer competition. Thing is I don't want to start pressing hard without having some experience managing to see if my customers like my service. I'm sure they will, I just don't have any proof, as of now. Here's hoping this holiday season will press a few individuals to see value in my service.
Peace, until tomorrow...

The Cold, It's Consuming Me...||>>>> >-lo
How can you blog if you're freezing to death? You might ask. Well, it's like this, there's a combination of factors that lead to my body taking action, and when those factors are available when the weathers turning, you get a tornado of stuff, and 1 frozen, dead, 29 year old.

Going Out of My Comfort Zone
I'm doing 2 things out of my comfort zone. First today I'm dead set on sales. Secondly I'm adding some ideas to what the focus of the blog will be.
Basketball
Bird Calls
Hunting
Electronic Cigarettes
I guess I'm afraid of picking a focus, because I fear that I'll run out of things to write, or write something wrong, but this is an essential step in blogging.

Show Me the Green, Silicone that Is
Ok, I'm really impressed by your invention. I'm sure you went through a million edits, and worked really hard engineering, well whatever you engineered. That said, blueprints are of little interest to me, sure there's a time and a place...and I may delve further into blueprints than I've ever wanted when I find the time and money to enjoy them, but for now, it just ain't in the cards.
That said, if you invent something, hold the patent to sliced bread let's say. Please show me the bread, or the slicer, and not the patent, or blueprint, or money that is. I'm not a patent clerk, nor a trademark lawyer, nor a wonk of any sort. Yes, I am impressed that you invented the pencil, so show me the pencil.

Coming Soon, Picture of A Pug in a Stocking
I'm compelled to take a picture of a pug in a stocking this Christmas. It will happen, and it will be posted here exclusively for Family, Friends, and Neighbors to see.

Narrowed my Subject
I've got my subject down to 4 options.
1) Basic Vegetable Gardening
2) Playoff Baseball Reference
3) Reliable Automobile Models
4) Classic Reference Books
This is a specific blog intended to deeply inform and earn myself money. I'll pick 1 of these soon and start going further into diagramming the blog.

This Blog is Going to have a Goal
I've narrowed my broad interests to 8...here they are...
1)Novels
2)Music
3)Toys
4)Cars
5)Movies
6)Gardening
7)Baseball
8) and Health
So, according to Jeff @ http://goinswriter.com/blog-focus/ this is the first step in getting a Goal...the next step which I'll do now is to make theme sentences out of these broad categories. Then, pick a theme sentence and establish goals...then you get to hear me rant and rave about a very focused topic for a wiggle.

First, I eat about 5 of my coworker's brownies, then I go to Subway and buy an orange juice, then I go to el Toro, and buy a cervaza, chips and salsa, then I go to McDonalds' and order 5 McDoubles, a chocolate shake, and a large fry, then I climb into a garbage can, haha, no some gross dude did that (yuk). Then, I drive home and watch TV for about 10 hours, then go to sleep.
Another Business Goal, Break 1M for this Blog
This blog is very close to breaking the 1,000,000 mark. I'm happy that you, the readers, have stayed with me on this crazy journey. I'll continue to blog for the foreseeable future, and I eagerly await your comments. The best blog is an interactive blog. I really love blogging...I hope you love reading my blog.

Being Broke is Seriously Putting a Damper on my Life
Ok, I don't have much money. I don't have enough for food, drink, and cigarettes. That's all I really want now...and I can't have it. I'm like the shoeless shoemaker. Click, click, click, no cigarettes. I've heard of people quitting cold turkey, that's not for me. I need to live an abundant life, and a pack of cigarettes is part of it. So someone buy something from me, preferably on eBay so I can use my eBay cash card. You may not want to hear about the whining of an upright young businessman, but here it is. Feed me. I don't want to become a Little Shop of Horrors plant! Feed me.

1 Cent Closer to Q4 Sales Goal
You might not want to read these posts around Christmas time...cause they will likely come off as very Grinchy. Here's the deal, the traffic is there to reach this sales goal. I'm going to keep busy updating our site with the resources we have. And basically cleaning up passwords, accounts, and that sort of thing...Maybe I'll treat myself to a HTML crammer, or extra breaks, since I am the boss. It will be relatively quiet around here. I hope my small stakes motives don't bore you.

Sales Goal Q4 2013 $100
I've been in this business loong enough to set a reasonable sales goal for Q4 2013. VersaGlobe will sell $100 in gross revenue in Q4 2013. We will still be losing money, but coming closer to achieving profitability. If the governments, the tea parties, and the brick and mortars can make a dime, so can we. Now, this is a bet that me personally, David, is betting on the sustainability of this growth model. It took a lot of typing, sourcing, negotiating, education, thinking, building, side jobs, blood, sweat, and tears to get to this point, but I believe we are on to something.
If we can achieve this goal, I'm certain we'll be expanding, hiring employees, and driving home sales next year.

Don't Care, Still Get Excited at Christmas Time
Ok, so I'm a bit old to be waiting for Santa. I'm a bit poor to be thinking of gifts. I'm a bit slow to be thinking of chestnuts roasting on an open fire. And, I'm a bit urban to be caught in the hustle and bustle...Yet, I'm really excited this Christmas. Parties all over, the skyway downtown will be jam packed. We Minnesotans' have a winning womens' basketball team. More concerts and plays than you can shake a stick at. Pickles and honey-glazed ham. Maybe a polar-plunge or 2. This town and that all around the Twin Cities...it's affecting us at the heart of Brooklyn Park. It's that feeling you don't have to worry. You're sleepy but there's just too much to do. Wreaths, trees, horses, fireplaces, shops, people skipping down the street, and who the heck knows why? Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Dream Car
I suppose it would be a brand new Ford Focus. If I could afford a brand new one. I would get all the bells and whistles (to a certain point)....maybe in white...
something like this...
something like this...
Toast and Coffee
Ok, I'm cold. Ok, I'm broke. Will I make it through today. Very likely. I was encouraged by a few new items on the web. My favorite comics are being updated. The stock market is waaaay up. And my personal interests are climbing the web ladder nicely. That said, I need to make money at what I'm doing. There needs to be a financial progress to all this crazwebines. If everything I read in the papers and online is true, then there is a payoff somewhere, it just needs to be actualized. Maybe a donation button, maybe a brick and mortar store, something, some hard and fast selling point. Maybe I can sell better advertising, maybe I can do my own car repairs...something has to give. I'm very happy with the progress I've been making, but the results are stationary at best. There needs to be something substantial that relates to this internet progress. I'm still unsure if the internet is a real thing. I'm pretty sure it is, but I'm not sure. When I'm making sales, it feels like a very real thing, when I'm not, it doesn't.

Stupid Cold Days
This dark cold temperature at Minnesota is for the birds. It makes my skin, bones, and muscles tingle with pain. What a stupid thing living here. And I'm nearly bankrupt, because I made the stupid decision of getting a credit card. I've worked plenty, and I'm willing to work further, but nobody is hiring...well they will hire, just not me. So, with stupid cold and a debt hole, the question is why haven't my myriad of illnesses consumed me? I think I deserve an IV and pain meds until it consumes me, what do you think?

Morgan Stanley Analyst Shares Insight
The way the stock market is moving up, and the amount of cash on the sidelines, is giving me a really good idea. Do exactly what I've been doing. Slowly, ever so slowly, banking away a little here, a little there. Rinse and repeat.
Buy something or not, I'm content without busy-bodying myself
I'm just going to keep on selling, even when I'm spending twice as much as I make. If I go bankrupt the banker, IRS agent, or cop is going to have a good time getting me in cuffs.

Feeling better this morning, got my cigarettes and coffee. Made it through yesterday. Now I'm going to tidy up my office and get a jump on the day. My sincerest apologies for the cursing yesterday, it was a long day. Thanks for supporting my blog and website.

Bumped my Head
I @#$%@#$^^^@#$@!#@ bumped my head on the @#$%@#$@#$^^!!#$ cabinet. I must be losing my mind. Personally, I can't think of anyway to regain it. My mind is gone, out there, somewhere in the stratosphere, never to return. I can barely see straight. Got double vision. Flu symptoms. And my @$#$^%@#$@#$!!()*^T*&@$ mind is toast. I'm lost, just another cold body in the gutter. Don't wait for me, don't look for me, I'm lost forever...

Feeling a Bit Better
Got a nap, and my family and coworkers and computer...have been cheering me up since. I just really need to make some sales, to keep busy at the very least. I've dropped my prices to move, and I haven't made a single sale in about a month. It's hard to keep up, when there's nothing to keep up on...
Oh, on a side note, there's a ghost in my radio. He messes with the EQ and sings along to the songs making them boring. Is it normal to have a ghost in the radio. I don't think so. It's really annoying, cause I just want to listen to the radio.

Mind, Body, Soul, and Pocketbook Reeling
Why am I positive about the future when my mind, body, soul, and pocketbook are troubling? Why stay honest and forward when everything seems to have a troubling spin? Why attempt to build a life when the tools fall apart, the supplies are wrong, and the help is promising yet unproductive? To be or not to be? That may have been the question before, but today we have no time for it, it's simply too important that we live to ask that question. Men look to their women for support and women look to their mirs. So it's a bunch of men looking at women looking at mirs. And it rains, and it freezes, and it crumbles, and we fight, and we move on. I'm really the least depressed person on Earth, but I'm starting to get down. I'm starting to think what's so bad if we fight, what's so bad if things crumble, what's so bad with the sad roles at disparate ends of the Earth??? How can a happy person have such bad thoughts???

The Day that Business Freeeeeeezed
It started out like any other fall day. It was October 14 2013, a day forgotten in time. The only thing that stood out about the day was my missing car needing repair and cold snap in the air. As the day went on the cold and dark were unrelenting. Yes, another winter was promised to me by the cold Minnesota weather.

Hate to Complain
Roofed good ol' Cody and Dena's roof yesterday. Man, I've really forgotten what good old labor does for the soul. I mean Valley Fair was tough, but real work early in the morning, with heavy tools and shingles is something else. I really wish I could have done more. Spent half the time sitting on my butt and eating. Our lead, my Couzin, was astounding...He kept the pace productive but not feverish. Just the right amount of oomph to keep things in line. Then, when things were packed up and the roof is complete we headed home for cold brew.
After about an hour kicking it and drinking, we headed out, I came to the office to pick up cigarettes. Little did I know my car would start rattling and my leg bleeding profusely. Needless to say, it was a hard day's night. I'm more than happy to help out my little brother, but wow it sucks that I'm sore and my car broke. So, I stayed the night at work, something I've been banned from doing. And, I'm likely to get an earful if my parents show up todo work. I'm just spending today casually. I'm not picking any fights and I'll shoot for Monday.

Time for Cut and Dry Math
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2 find the Vertex...
lets see...
hmmm...
type numbers not words...
ok already get on with it...
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2
2 + 0 = 4x^2 +12x - 2 + 2
2 = 4x^2 + 12x
2 - 12x = 4x^2 + 12x - 12x
hmmm...
I think this is why the quadratic equation was invented...FOIL...oh yeah I gotta continue with that up there...
(2 - 12x)/4 = x^2
hmmm....
factor maybe...
2(2x^2 + 6x - 1) ok...I think that's the first step actually duh...the only number x can be is 0 because the equation is 0, if 0 were y then you would have to solve this way then use the QE, then set y to 0 or something. I'm really not a math major, but this was enough refresher to keep the saw sharp. Nah, let's solve it.
y = 2(2x^2 + 6x - 1)
...then on paper find x...
x = 0.1583123
x = -3.1583122
hmmm, now that we know x we gotta set...hmm...solve for y...ok, I'm using an online graphing calculator for this part...
y = -0.0000012626748
y = -0.0000025893246
these are the solutions to something, just not what I was looking for, oh well TBC on another day... I think the correct way is to pull out the 2 and factor...something like y = 2(2x + 1)(x - 1)...and since it can't be easily factored back to the quadratic formula...I want to find the Vertex...and according to the graphing calculator I'm looking for y = -11...
So that's the solution, punch it into a graphing calculator, and read the graph...hahahahahaha
No, do not use the online Desmos Graphing Calculator, it doesn't know what it's talking about (or I'm entering the function wrong), but I"m fairly certain it doesn't know what it's talking about...
To find the vertex of
0 = 4x^2 + 12x - 2
simply enter x=0, answer y = -2
The vertex is at -2 duh.

These Stairs are Killing Me
Getting older sucks major gross flavored Jelly Belly. I need some down time at a campground, stat. Any campground will do. 1 with bikini clad women and raging bonfires will suit me just fine. Oh, and plenty of (non-alcoholic)cold drinks, and food, and cigarettes, and firewood, and a tent, and a matress, and a sleeping bag, and a Stephen King novel, and well that's all I can think of right now. That would be a very good flavored Jelly Belly.
Another Beautiful Day in the Minnesota Wilds
After a serious cold spell, the weather is really great. The trees are turning and the air is crisp, but not bitter. I'm considering more products to sell on my website, eBay, Amazon, et al. The only way I'm going to compete with larger anchor stores is to offer a better selection. The bane of many a micro-business.
Now, in my case, you might say, this is easy. Just take the items that go every day across bar-code scanners every day. The thing is, there are other factors. What's the margin, how long will it last on the shelves, how much to ship, where can I source it, who's the buyer, why buy from VersaGlobe, who finds my site, what's the exact price point where I make money, what about returns, what about errors in the system, can I really afford to ship overseas, when will sales reflect my bank account, how long can I stay in business? These are all respectable questions for any micro-business owner to ask. And then, how to grow the business on top of that!
I'm happy to see that my advertising campaigns are doing well. Traffic is increasing to my site. I'm keeping myself amused while waiting on sales. It's all too easy to say, "if I had a million dollars" and go comatose until bankruptcy, but that's not what I want. I'm willing to claw my way up the corporate ladder, help myself, my family, and strangers in the process.
Some things I'm taking off the burner until VersaGlobe is more profitable...1) Education, it's a glorious tool to make money and make life more enjoyable, it's just not in the cards right now. 2) Spending on frivolous things. Now, I need to eat and keep myself presentable and profitable, but not much more. Books, Dvds, New Clothes, Art, Gambling, Drinking, Tobacco, anything that seems frivolous is going to be slashed and the money will go straight to VersaGlobe's bottom line. 3) Feeling sorry for myself. Small business is not a gift, it's a slow process of building something that will last. 4) Silly marketing tactics. Sometimes it's tough to distinguish between a genuine sales strategy and just winging it, so I'm spending my time and money on the things that will get the best return on investment. This also means getting off my high horse and selling at profitable market rates. 5) Looking up to big business. Big business is the enemy, they can afford to sell my products at better margins than me, so be it. I'll continue to build what's right for me, and my market, to secure what's really important, small business.
And that's all for now, with a little focus and persistence, we will get this thing going and I will become a very wealthy man, not to mention my team, and a million happy customers along the way.

Sales are Down, Yet Pundits Remain Optimistic
Ok, so I'm the pundit. My sales are way down, but I remain very optimistic about this holiday season. I believe it will be the best ever, for people all over the world. By the way, it's really warmed up today...I'm happy. Plus, my Dad gave me a pair of suspenders that just feel right. I thank him for his well-timed kindness. My goal, brain pending, is to get a slew of media combed out of my personal collection and up for sale on Amazon.com. We don't need the government to support the private sector. Sure, they are helpful, but the private sector has been grinding out a profit before there were governments...and we have the healthiest private sector, more than I've ever imagined. I'm slashing prices, but not so much that I don't have inventory next year. It's sad that everything is geared towards the upper class these days. Sure, the tiny guy can get help, but he'll have to wade through a sea of corporate tape to do it. Believe me, I'm knee high in the stuff.
All's well. I'm truly happy to have this work, and a very healthy mind, body, and soul, considering my limitations. I could make nary a sale, nary a song, and nary a present this Christmas. I will still have my family, I will still have ends meet, I will still have bountiful food. Thank you, The Readers, for waiting on the next post, grinding out tough jobs, and quitting suckey ones. I'm well positioned to get you some really great deals, fresh content, and some down time where we might get to know one another.
Oh, if I told you about my girlfriend, yeah she's hot, and very nice, but it just didn't work out, so I'm up for dancing again, Ladies.

Kicked the Cold
Well, enough clothes and heat will take care of that...
This morning while smoking my Camel 99, I decided to take it all in. That big oak tree that dutifully watches over the drive, and while I practice basketball. The air is surprisingly crisp for such a quiet overcast day, a mainstay of Minnesota. The garden is on its last leg, but there are a few sweet gems to be picked and eaten immediately, well with a little polish from the shirt. BTW, I'm wearing my cookie monster pajamas, a t-shirt, and a red sweater over. The traffic seems distant, because the day would have it that way. The basketball hoop looks tired, yet still very strong. There's rust, a cut net, and makeshift backboard. And still inviting after all this time. Another drag from the cigarette. I'll have to find something to do soon, but it's Sunday, and it will probably be chores around here. Nothing extravagant on the internet, no spying on the Chinese and Ruskies, no beautiful women, just dusting and washing, and tidying, and organizing, and rearranging the house. Open a couple doors, check the locks and lights, and after Mom was done with computer, I'm on here writing. Maybe I can put my chores off for another hour, maybe 2 but they're coming...there's a bunch to do today.
Thanks to my readers, I've noticed the bumps and the traffic...It really excites me when you read every post. Feel free to leave your insights as comments too.

Ahhhgg the Atmosphere is Crushing Me
♥ Happy Birthday Little Brother Cody ♥
Ok, the atmosphere isn't really crushing me, but my body sure feels like it. Sure, I was an athlete, sure, I've used plenty of substances, sure, my diet is strictly see food, sure, I've had times where my hygiene went to hell, but my body isn't as kaput as a million tonnes of atmosphere...
The painkillers I take give me a solid hour, hardly worth it. I'm better off going for a 10 mile hike through the woods. Oh yeah, can't do that because my legs have blisters. Enough complaining...No NOT enough complaining, this absolutely stinks.
Maybe I'll get some I don't need anybody's time or money, I've got great boots, boots. lol, j/k.
On a more serious note. I've found some great resources for board games and art. If you are interested in the tonnes of chess variants that are possible with modified boards and pieces you can buy some neat novelty chess pieces at http://www.seirawanchess.com/ and 10x10 boards at http://www.mastersgames.com/ or http://www.modern.chess.variants.tripod.com/index.html. It's way better than using some random trinket that doesn't match your pieces, IMHO. Oh and for the art, http://www.artcyclopedia.com/...This page has a lot of broken links but it does point you in the right direction.
Also, if you've looked at my wares before...many of the prices are dropping out of the stratosphere and into the normal realm. Nobody was buying them at extremely inflated prices, go figure.
I'll try digging out those chess sets and making a couple calls on the new house phone at home.
And as always buy from http://www.versaglobe.com

Crap Lower Quality Higher Costs
Is it just me or is the market getting crappy??! I feel like the market is more and more volitile, my Bipolar Schizophrenia is getting worse in a number of ways, and my content is beginning to degrade at the same time.
I never expected life to be a cake walk, but I did expect some regularity and quality.
Now the quality is there, it just is lacking the resonance that it once had. There are still many gems and roughs just waiting to be polished...but that's all they are doing, waiting.
Someone with some wisdom, please, PLEASE, breath some order into this chaos that I call home.
