So, I've been training my ear for years, but now I'm playing whole songs. I'm realizing you don't need to memorize the complete song to play it well. It kinda comes together as you play it. But you do need to know what comes next in the song. So, when I'm playing a song on the keyboard, or practicing a new song. I need to play every note in the song in succession so that the song can be played in full when I'm actually performing. I'm learning "Piano Man" by Billy Joel and it's more work than it seems but I'm beginning to recognize the treble clef and the sheet music.
Also, we were going to have Alden's baseball tonight but the weather is looking like storms so I'm not going because of that.
