1 Shooting at a Club in Orlando Florida can affect Consumer Confidence for a Decade or Longer
We are not immune to violence. When it happens in our community there are ripples that have an effect on all corners of the globe. Tourism is affected. Spending is affected. There is hardly a sector that is not affected. We may never go to the club to dance, but we are affected.

When I Bite the Bullet and Return to College
This isn't so much a why as a when. I do plan on returning to a 4 year university except this time it will be all liberal arts. Theater, English, History, and various Arts. I've had it up to here with JavaScript. Technology is getting harder and harder without an end in sight. I've got an Associate's Degree. My goal in school was to get a Bachelor's degree but I'd really like a PhD and I intend to complete it. Possibly with a focus on Education. Something I can do as I'm aging. Computers are great but you can't program yourself a sandwich. Schools have hot lunch. I plan on running a half schedule, not doing as much as the kids, but doing more than a part timer...Maybe 2 or 3 classes per semester until it's done plus extra-curriculars like baseball.
I'm considering my options for 4 year universities...I'd really only like to enroll if it's live, not online. But that poses the challenge of paying for residency on top of tuition. It would be nice to find a self-guided program through the U of M. (Not agriculture) I prefer the Arts, but I wouldn't even mind going back into science if it were self-guided. Maybe that's the boost I need to deal with the bugs on my computers.
As far as I know I won't enroll this fall. It will have to be farther down the road.

Stop Making a Mess of My Private Data, It's Not Yours
I'm odds on sure that someone, at least they call themselves someone, has been making a mess of and doctoring MY DATA. When I take pictures I expect them to be the same quality today as they will be in 100 years. Just because my servers aren't housed in preferred data centers doesn't give anyone the right to mess with my stuff. This may sound like paranoia, and it is, likely because of the process I deal with.
Look, everyone wants the fountain of youth, but I just want my files to stay the way they are meant to be. I've been hacked and socially engineered 9 ways from Tuesday, but this is the best I can do. Please stop making a mess of MY DATA. I'm getting less productive just watching my works become doctored. I don't mind the crappy stuff that gets incidentally copied to my drives being gone, I do mind when it's mission critical.
I'm connected to the work network in my office building but I don't snoop on other computers because I don't want to add a space or delete a file where I don't belong. If it's not your computer, it's not your computer. Please be civil to computers and computer users.
